From the album "White Supremacists Can Suck It"
In 2022 I wrote a few haikus in an attempt to express my feelings of opposition to the rise of white nationalism in our country. I figured Pockets & Sedition is both very classy and deeply cultured so this newsletter seemed like a good place to share them:
11/28/22 a simple haiku #1:
Rain streams in tide pools
clearing the heartbeat of mind.
Yes, Nazis are bad.
11/29/22 simple haiku #2:
The mountain sings with
the sweet air of ancient souls.
Nazis are still bad.
1/24/23 simple haiku #3
A river runs through
all colors of the rainbow.
Nazis can suck it.
I only wrote three.
Based on the 2024 election results, I clearly, did not write enough of them. So when the Democrats do their post-election autopsy, it will undoubtedly show that my lack of haikus was the main reason for the loss.
Mea Culpa.
I guess it’s time to write some more poetry.
Oh, and Nazis can absolutely suck it.
